The Handy Maths Manual has been written as a daily study guide for all lower and middle secondary mathematics students. The content is relevant to all mathematics courses wherever they may be taught. The author’s intention has been to present summaries of important mathematical rules and processes in as clear and concise a format as possible with simple illustrations accompanying each step in a summary. Students will find the section on formulae particularly useful, being able to access required formulae from a single source. For most students this overcomes one of the disadvantages of the book hire system, where formulae as well as rules and processes are scattered throughout a number of texts that students no longer have access to. An added feature is the illustrated dictionary which gives students an understanding of many mathematical terms that confront them as they make their way through their courses.
